It can also be accessed from the student profile pages.
These are the most common problems:
- The student’s major is wrong on the audit. The Degree Works audit displays the student’s current major in the Banner system. A change of major form must be submitted to the University Registrar Office with all signatures before a major will be changed. When a major is changed, the change will be effective for a particular term which may be a future term.
- The requirements for the declared major or concentration are wrong. The student and/or advisor should check the catalog term that appears on the major requirement block of the audit. According to the Banner student system, this is the catalog that you are using to complete your major requirements.
- Classes are not applying to the correct requirement. Degree Works uses a "best fit" approach for meeting requirements. If there is a question on how a course counts, students should contact their academic advisor. If the advisor has a question, he/she should contact the Registrar's Office.
- The department chair approved to substitute a course and it is not displaying. The substitution form is initiated in the student’s major department but the forms are entered by the Registrar's Office staff. After a substitution form is entered into the Degree Works system, the process new menu item must be selected to display the change.
Click the What-If link on the left side navigation, then follow these five steps to generate a "What-If" analysis:
- Select Academic Year
- Select Program
- Select Major
- Select Concentration (If Applicable)
- Select any additional information as necessary for majors and minors
- Press Process What-If Button
Your advisor can leave notes, which might include your class recommendations and semester PIN number, for you to review later.
You can find these notes at the bottom of your main page audit.
