Reduced Course Load
Three Opportunities for RCL
This RCL may be used only during the student's initial semester of enrollment at the education level. To be eligible, the student must be experiencing difficulties due to:
- initial difficulty with the English language
- initial difficulty with reading requirements
- unfamiliarity with U.S. teaching methods, or
- improper course level placement
Failure to attend class meetings and submit work are not qualifying reasons to be eligible for an RCL for initial difficulties, even if they are due to homesickness or culture shock.
This RCL may be used at any time during the student's program of study. To be eligible, the student must provide medical documentation from a licensed medical doctor, doctor of osteopathy, or licensed clinical psychologist, to substantiate the illness or medical condition. This type of RCL is authorized one semester at a time, but it can be reauthorized if required. However, an RCL for temporary illness or medical condition may not exceed 12 months in total.
Please note that 香港六合彩挂牌资料 Health Services and 香港六合彩挂牌资料 Student Counseling Services cannot provide documentation for this type of RCL as no one on staff has the listed medical credentials. This RCL may be used only in the final semester of student's program of study.
