Though the scoreboard reflected a loss, the Aquinas players remained determined and focused, showcasing their skill and teamwork at every opportunity. The players exhibited strong defensive plays, quick transitions, and commendable communication on the court. Alovi worked hard giving second and third efforts to get the ball. Cath was very smart with her play and gave many great assists as well as scoring goals.

Despite having two less players the team lifted and displayed a wonderful spirit on the pitch. As the game got longer the better the team played. I was thrilled with their mindset as this was better than last time. They displayed a determination to do well and the support for everyone was sensational. The behaviour and attitude by all girls was also wonderful.

We had a full compliment this week again, which was great. Unfortunately Emmaus were the stronger team on the day. Great performances today from Bianca, Tiana and Ruth in particular.

The Aquinas Senior Boys tennis team put in a strong performance yesterday, highlighted by Alexander’s hard-fought singles victory, Evangelos impressing in his debut, and Sam and Darcy’s rapid doubles win. After a narrow loss last week, it’s great to be back on the winners’ list, with plenty more to come.

A great battle, which fell our way. We had a few players out, which was a concern to begin with, but the boys took control and settled the nerves. It was a game of runs with the lead changing every few minutes, but the boys stayed composed and got the job done. Our defence was strong and relentless, our rebounding improved dramatically from other weeks and our offense was collaborative and dynamic. Emmaus was bigger and had some great shooters, but our ability to shift tactics and continue to hustle was the difference. Oscar with 27 points was a highlight on the stat sheet, but everyone contributed really well. Well done boys!

Emmaus came out really strong in the first half, our boys couldn’t keep up as we kept missing easy shots. But that didn’t stop the determination of the boys, they kept fighting till the final siren but just couldn’t quite get there.

Unfortunately the scoreboard does not fully reflect how close this contest was. We were down 2 players, so had to forfeit those two games, putting us behind from the beginning. The boys all put in great performances with Angus and Riley leading the way.

The score line may be low but doesn't show the numerous close calls we had in scoring. The boys skills are progressing week by week, the illusive win we are looking for will come!

After a slow start in the first quarter with scores level at 3 all, we started to play well in the remainder of the game with our defence making it hard for Emmaus to score. Our ball control also improved and we were able to score regularly. Well done to everyone on playing really well and seeing your skills improve was awesome to watch.

In today's cricket match, we lost the toss and were asked to bat first. The opening partnership provided a solid foundation, with an impressive 89-run stand. The top run-scorer was Griffin, who finished unbeaten on 58 runs and had to retire. After 15 overs, the team was cruising with 156 runs on the board, and by the time we reached 20 overs, we had posted a total of 172 runs. During the chase, our bowlers performed brilliantly, maintaining pressure throughout. We bowled the opposition out for just 122 runs, securing a comfortable victory. The team’s all-around performance with both bat and ball ensured a well deserved win.
